How we started
A small room for careful hands.
Beauty Room Kenya began when one of our directors, @fedulova_tata_ (opens in a new tab), visited Kenya for the first time. After years in the nail industry in Russia, she saw how much room Kenyan nail care had to grow. The idea was simple: a space where nails are done the way they should be, and where others might follow.
Finding the place took time. We turned down spot after spot (the washrooms alone ruled most of them out) before finding our apartment studio at Marcus Gardens, with free parking. Most of our furniture was made for us after a search that took us as far as Utawala, and much of the décor was imported.
Then the most important part: the people. We chose our beauticians for attitude as much as skill, because a beautiful room means nothing without someone great in the chair.
It’s not just a nail appointment. It’s good vibes and therapy.

Why we only work with natural nails
We don’t do extensions. It’s the question we’re asked most, so here’s our honest answer.

The Beauty Room Guarantee
Made to last 3–4 weeks.
Our sets are made to last 3 to 4 weeks comfortably, without chipping. For the first 3 weeks after your appointment you’re covered: if a nail chips, call us and we’ll fix it free of charge.
Please don’t be shy. Honest feedback about how your nails are holding up helps us learn how to care for them better.
Coming from extensions or weak nails?
Some nails are too weak to hold polish for the full 4 weeks after the first treatment. That’s normal, and Rome wasn’t built in a day. After two or three treatments it’s usually a thing of the past. In the meantime, any chips within 3 weeks are still fixed free.
When should I come back?
- Weeks 0–3: chipped nails fixed free
- Week 3: the ideal time for a fresh manicure
- Week 4: the latest we recommend
Everyone’s nails grow at different speeds. Ideally we’d see you every 3 weeks, but we know you love to enjoy your manicure, so we recommend coming back at 4 weeks at the most.
Why not wait longer? We don’t just apply gel polish; we build the structure of the nail so it stays firm and steady. As the nail grows, that structure moves forward and the nail becomes more likely to break. Breaks are costly, both for the health of the nail and to repair. Come back within 4 weeks and your nails should stay fresh and presentable the whole time.

Before you book
Our rules of engagement
Like any well-run studio, we have a few rules so that we can serve every client better.
A deposit secures your slot
Every booking needs a deposit, because no-shows cost us time and money. Your slot is confirmed only once we receive it. Until then the time stays open, and if another client pays first, it’s theirs.
Cancel at least 12 hours ahead
Cancelling later than 12 hours before your appointment counts as a no-show, and the deposit is lost. We plan each day at least a day in advance, and a missed slot is one another client could have had.
Running late? Call us
Communication is key, so please call as soon as you know you’ll be late. Each client has a set time, and lateness affects the next person. If you’re 30 minutes late or more, there isn’t enough time left for your session, so it counts as a no-show and the deposit is lost. Come a little early instead: our waiting area and soft drinks are there for you.
Set aside about 3 hours
A Russian dry manicure takes about 3 hours on average. Bring your patience; we promise the time is well spent.
Lots of repairs? Tell us the day before
If several nails need repair, let us know the day before. It can add a lot of time and affect the rest of the day’s schedule. Let’s be mindful of each other.

Slots fill up, so book in advance. We do our best with short notice, but please don’t be upset if we can’t find a space.

Who we are
Beauty Room Kenya (“we”, “us”) is a nail spa at Marcus Gardens, Marcus Garvey Road, Nairobi, Kenya. We decide how the personal data described here is used, which makes us the data controller under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019. You can reach us on +254 796 599327.
What we collect
- Booking requests: your name, phone number, the service you want, your preferred day and time, how many nails may need repair, any note you add, and your agreement to our booking rules.
- Deposits and payments: a record of each payment, such as the payer’s name, phone number and transaction reference, for our accounts.
- Calls and messages: your number or social media handle and what you tell us when you call, message or contact us on Instagram or TikTok.
- Website visits: our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so the site can be delivered and kept secure. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- Photos of our work: we only photograph your nails for our gallery or social media if you agree, and we avoid showing faces or other identifying features.
We don’t ask for health information online. If you tell us in person about an allergy or a nail or skin condition, we use it only to carry out your service safely.
Why we use it
- To reply to your booking request and arrange your appointment, based on your consent and on the steps needed before providing a service you asked for.
- To run and protect this website, based on our legitimate interest in keeping it working and secure.
- To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as tax records.
We do not sell your data and we do not use your booking details for marketing.
Who we share it with
Our website and booking form are hosted by Netlify, Inc., which stores form submissions and server logs on our behalf. Netlify’s servers may be outside Kenya, including in the United States. We share only what is needed to run the site. If you contact us through Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or Google, those companies’ own privacy policies also apply.
How long we keep it
We delete booking requests within 12 months of our last contact with you, unless you become a client and we need the details for our records. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider under its own retention rules.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be told how your data is used, to see the data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to its use, to withdraw your consent at any time, and to receive your data in a portable format. To use any of these rights, call us on +254 796 599327. We will respond as soon as we can and within the time the law requires.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner at www.odpc.go.ke (opens in a new tab).
Children
Our booking form is for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to book for you.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only we can see booking requests.

About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or book a service with Beauty Room Kenya. By booking, you agree to them.
Bookings and deposits
You can request a booking through our form, by phone, or on social media. A request is not a booking. When we offer you a time, we will tell you the deposit amount, how to pay it, and how it counts towards your bill. Your slot is confirmed only once we receive the deposit. Until then the time stays open, and if another client pays a deposit for it first, it goes to them.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Kenya shillings. We confirm the price when we offer you a time, and that price applies. If a price on this website is wrong, we will tell you before your service. We will confirm which payment methods we accept when you book.
Cancellations and no-shows
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before your appointment. If you cancel later than that, don’t come, or arrive 30 minutes or more late, it counts as a no-show and you lose your deposit. If we have to cancel your appointment, we will refund your deposit in full or move it to a new time, whichever you prefer.
Arriving late
Each appointment has a set time, so please call us as soon as you know you will be late. If you arrive 30 minutes or more after your appointment time, there is not enough time left for your session: it counts as a no-show and you lose your deposit.
Appointment length and repairs
A Russian dry manicure takes about 3 hours on average. If several of your nails need repair, please tell us the day before, as this can add significant time. If the extra time doesn’t fit our schedule that day, we may need to rebook you.
Natural nails only
We work on natural nails only and do not apply extensions.
Your health and safety
Before your service, please tell us about any allergies, sensitivities, nail or skin conditions, or anything else that could affect your treatment. We may adapt or decline a service if carrying it out would not be safe, for example where there is broken skin or a possible infection. Please follow any aftercare advice we give you.
Photos
We only photograph your nails for our gallery or social media with your agreement.
Our responsibility to you
We carry out every service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 or any liability that cannot be limited by law. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for problems caused by information you did not share with us or by not following aftercare advice.

Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Guarantee and Refund Policy

The Beauty Room Guarantee
Our sets are made to last 3 to 4 weeks without chipping. For 3 weeks from the date of your appointment, if any nail chips, call us on +254 796 599327 and we will fix it free of charge at a time that suits our schedule.
First treatments on weak nails
If you are moving from extensions, or your nails are weak, they may not hold polish for the full 4 weeks after your first treatment. This is normal and usually improves after two or three treatments. Chips within the 3-week period are still fixed free.
When to come back
We recommend a fresh manicure every 3 to 4 weeks. Wearing a set for longer makes breaks more likely as the nail grows, and repairs after the 3-week guarantee period are not free.
Refunds
If a service was not carried out with reasonable care and skill and we cannot put it right, we will give a full or partial refund, using the payment method you used where possible.
What isn’t covered
Damage from accidents, picking or peeling, contact with harsh chemicals, not following aftercare advice, or changing your mind about a colour or design you approved during your appointment.
Deposits
Deposits are lost if you cancel less than 12 hours before your appointment, don’t attend, or arrive 30 minutes or more late (see our Terms and Conditions). If we cancel, we refund your deposit in full or move it to a new time, whichever you prefer.
Your legal rights
This policy does not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012.
